  • Hey Every body I just wanted to share with you all a poem I wrote a while back:

    FEARLESS AND READY

On that day we will stand more than one million strong

And He on his white horse will lead us

I will take my place, fearless and ready

As we take the enemy, who cannot win, by storm

My sword will be drawn, I will be brave, and my shield will be Him

The enemy will also be ready on that day

The weak will fall, but the strong will perserver

The enemy cannot triumph over the one who cannot be defeated

And trumpets will blare victorious as we ride into the city made of gold

I will take my place, fearless and ready.

  • When will I be content with what God has given me and stop asking for more?  This is a question I reallly need to ask myself more often. God has blessed me in so many ways, and some times I do take him for granted. I have been thinking about the question I just asked lately.  Some times I do have to step back in order to see what God has done for me, and it is AMAZING what he has done. I can never say that God has never done anything for me, because of what he did for me on the cross and that is all I could ever ask for. If all I have now was taken away from me, I would be content because of what I have in Jesus. Just a thought.....

  • It has been madd long since my last post, I guess that is because I really have had nothing to say. But things are starting to become interesting again! I've been working on my job search for the last couple of weeks, and things are going really well.  I've sent resumes and cover letters out to about 8 different places, I have had the most luck with my contact with Triple A. About a month ago I saw an add for a position that was available with in their company and it seemed like one that I would be qualified for, so I sent them my resume and cover letter. The next week Gail Smith, a representative from triple A contact me by phone unfortunately I never was able to get ahold of her by phone. About a week later I went to a job fair at Schenectady County Community College. Before I went to the job fair I looked over some of the information about the different companies that were going to be attending the job fair and saw that Triple A would be attending so I made it a point to speak with them, it just so happens that Gail Smith was their.  We spoke for a few minutes about the different positions that were available. At the end of our conversation Gail told me that she was happy to see me at the job fair and was going to have a representative call me to set up an interview. That Friday Joe Hanna from Triple A called me to set up an interview for the following Wednesday, I was really happy that I was asked to come in for an interview, but knew I had to do awesome in the interview to be offered the job. So I prepared myself by anticipating questions that might be asked and prepared my answers accordingly.I went into the interview feeling very prepared. I went in for the interview and I was starting to become a little bit nervous but I told myself to relax and that helped me out. During my interview I met with Joe and another associate named Amanda. They seemed like nice people, maybe a couple years older than myself. We had some good conversation. I told them about my work experience and put an emphasis on my customer service experience.  I told a story about an "irrate" soccer mom which made Joe laugh, which was a good sign. There was some question as to weather or not I would be okay with slower times in a caller center environment, because I told them I left Cocca's Inn and Suites because the pace was not fast enough. however I assured them that a front desk at a hotel is different than a call center environment and that I would be fine with slower times at a call center.  The interview ended with the usual, "We are still interviewing a few other candidates but we will get back to you with in the next week."  I left the interview feeling comfortable with myself  A few days later I sent my interviewers a thank you note via e-mail, emphasising a few things that were brought up during the interview. A couple days later I recieved a message on my cell phone voice mail from Tracey Garb another representative from Triple A, when I called her back she offered me the job and I accepted it.  I start my job as a Triple A Member Service Associate on Tuesdat February 28th. It definately will br different then a food service environment, which is what I am used to. I just pray that God will give me the confidence in myself and the ability to do my job and that my supervisors will be pleased with me. More to come later...

  • Whats going on everybody.  Nothing really much is going on in good old Clifton Park New York, which by the way is the urban sprawl capital of the world, we've got more exits off the highway then any town really needs. I'd like to announce to you all that I have been Disney free for a year today (November 17), I have no regrets about leaving the program early, nor would I ever consider working for disney again.  I think the most awesome part of the Disney experience was the few days I got to hang out with my house mate Bart (Sir Iron), Derek another cool guy I met and friend of Sir Iron, Asbury, and they'r really cute girl friend that right now I can't remember her name (If your reading this sorry, I'm horrible with names).  Seeing Napoleon Dynamite for the first time was awesome (I've seen it a total of about 5 or 6 times now), hanging out at the pool party thing with Sir Iron and Derek was awesome.  Watching Derek and Bart call Dereks stalker was probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Trying to sneak into the BSB concert at Down Town Disney was fun too. Other than those few days of chillin' with awesome people, I really do have to say that the rest of my "Magical Experience" wasn't all that much fun and I seriously don't regret leaving early, even if that meant I can't work for Disney ever again, I have no regrets.  Besides I wasn't going to stay in Florida and miss Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas with my family..  As for stuff that is coming up for me, I am planning on going back to school next semester at Hudson Valley Community College, to earn my associates degree in Broadcast Communications.  Part time would definately be best so that I can continue working as much as possible and bring in some money.  So yeah, things are all good here. Until Then...
